Hello everyone…lots of exciting things going on so I’ll get right into it.
Show & Grow Screening
We had the screening of Quick Shop on Monday, February 28 at Splash Studios in NYC. Although it wasn’t as well attended as we’d hoped,  I did get a lot of positive feedback about the movie, as well as some constructive criticism that I will definitely take into account over the next month or so as I prepare film festival submissions. It was cool to see it up on the big screen and through theater-quality speakers! I’d like to thank Alison for letting me screen it, John Leary for coming out and attending the screening, and Barbara from Splash Studios for letting us use their space. As a token of my appreciation, I left the rest of my oatmeal raisin cookies! 🙂
Film Festival Submissions
I made two film festival submissions today…the Lancaster Area Film Festival and the SouthSide Film Festival. I would expect that later this week at least one of them will confirm that they received my submission, which should get me an invitation to create our IMDB page for the movie! How exciting! There are still about 4-5 festivals that I’m contemplating submitting to over the next month, so we’ll see how that goes. Now I check my submission status page on WithoutABox.com (shown below) like every 5 minutes to see if the festivals have gotten my DVD. 🙂
Girl in Trunk
John Leary and Alison McMahan’s script GIRL IN TRUNK is one of five scripts selected to be a part of the IFP Script to Screen Conference “Make Your Pitch” Workshop! Take a look at this page on Alison’s web site for more information.  Congratulations John and Alison, and good luck with the pitch!
Well, I guess that’s about it. I’ll keep everyone posted on the film festivals statuses…have a great March!
